Charlie Brown was our mentor, our friend...no...Charlie Brown was us.

He kept right on failing at everything he did, but he never gave up. And, because he represented so many of us in so many ways, we hoped that he never would.

In 1967, Clark Gesner captured the essence of the Peanuts Gang in the smash musical hit, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. It ran for 1,597 performances Off-Broadway.

This stage show does not attempt to portray children of the Peanuts Gang as they are known from their comic strip or television cartoons. It is acted by six adults who convey the Peanuts spirit in a delightful string of short sketches, offstage voices, solo songs in solitary pools of light, and high energy choruses. The songs are charming, funny, and heartwarming, with beautiful melodies.
[richtext] => 1 [template] => 25 [menuindex] => 5 [searchable] => 1 [cacheable] => 1 [createdby] => 1 [createdon] => 1557760460 [editedby] => 3 [editedon] => 1559414827 [deleted] => 0 [deletedon] => 0 [deletedby] => 0 [publishedon] => 932570040 [publishedby] => 1 [menutitle] => [donthit] => 0 [privateweb] => 0 [privatemgr] => 0 [content_dispo] => 0 [hidemenu] => 0 [class_key] => mgResource [context_key] => web [content_type] => 1 [uri] => 1999/youre-a-good-man-charlie-brown [uri_override] => 1 [hide_children_in_tree] => 0 [show_in_tree] => 0 [properties] => Array ( [moregallery] => Array ( [source] => inherit [relative_url] => inherit [content_position] => inherit [crops] => inherit [custom_fields] => inherit ) ) [idx] => 3 [link] => ) Array ( [return] => chunks [id] => 81 [type] => document [contentType] => text/html [pagetitle] => Peter Pan [longtitle] => Peter Pan [description] => [alias] => peter-pan [alias_visible] => 1 [link_attributes] => [published] => 1 [pub_date] => 0 [unpub_date] => 0 [parent] => 10 [isfolder] => 0 [introtext] => [content] =>
Peter Pan is a musical version of the James M.
