Benjamin Braddock is a recent college graduate trying to find
something to care about in his life when he begins to have an
affair with Mrs. Robinson, the seductive wife of his father’s
best friend. The affair takes an interesting turn when Benjamin
meets and falls for Mrs. Robinson’s daughter, Elaine. The
new twist pits Benjamin against Mrs. Robinson, who still stop
at nothing from preventing him from ending up with Elaine. This
play, by Terry Johnson and adapted from the novel by Charles Webb
and the screenplay by Buck Henry and Calder Willingham, is a dark
comedy that satirizes everything from love and relationships to
family life in a unique and often hilarious way.
