The timeless story of forbidden romance and political intrigue...
with some new twists and an eclectic rock score.

AIDA

The show opens in the present day, in an Egyptian exhibit at a modern museum. A man and a woman begin to move toward a mystical burial chamber as if they have seen it somewhere before. Their eyes meet as the model of a woman-Pharaoh comes to life and sings “Every Story is a Love Story.

We flash back thousands of years, as Egyptian soldiers celebrate their courage in the song “Fortune Favors the Brave”. Other soldiers enter with four native captives, including Aida, the daughter of the Nubian King. Aida snatches a sword to challenge the soldiers. Their captain, Radames, does not know that she is a princess, but he recognizes something special in her. Aida contemplates her homeland in the song “The Past is Another Land.”
