The year is 1745. Barber-surgeons have just been barred from practicing
their bloody trade in London. Ours is a different take on Stephen
Sondheim's classic musical thriller, with a focus on the sometimes-sordid
history of medicine and the thin veil between life and death.

Rehearsals: We plan to start rehearsing in early
May. Rehearsals will be Tuesday and Friday evenings, Sunday afternoons
and as we get to July we will likely add Wednesday evenings. A
Waterbury location will be used for most rehearsals

Information for Auditionees:
The Audition Process
Auditions will start promptly at 9:00 on Saturday and Sunday.
Please email eroglikj@comcast.net
stating which date you prefer and requesting audition info and
music. Auditions will conclude when they’re finished. Please
wear loose fitting clothing, sneakers or dance shoes. Bring a
water bottle or two, snacks, lunch. Call backs if necessary Monday
evening at 7:30 p.m. Bring your calendars from May 1 through October
6.
Act I Music: Each person auditioning will go
through a vocal range warm up, after which they will be requested
to sing parts of songs from the show, see character description
on link below for songs.
Act II Music and Acting: Prospective cast members
should prepare a song of up sixteen bars in length NOT from N2N
to showcase their ability to dramatically interpret the song.
Bring sheet music and cd accompaniment.
Act III Acting: The acting portion of the audition
will be a closed session with members of the artistic team for
interviews. For this portion, you do not need to prepare anything,
just bring yourself, open and ready.
Finale: There will be group improv and music
interaction.
