Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of small-town girl, Millie Dillmount, who comes to New York City on a quest to marry for money – a thoroughly modern goal, in her opinion. The story takes place in 1922 and follows Millie as she embraces the flapper lifestyle, makes friends and encounters a shady hotel owner with a secret past. Millie soon discovers that marrying for money may not be all it is cracked up to be and she is forced to choose between her head and heart. Audiences will delight in following this plucky gal on her adventures in the big city.
